Academic Work

Hi there đź‘‹ Welcome to my home.

I’m Schyler Palm: writer, game designer, disability-support practitioner, digital humanist, and research-creation scholar from Edmonton AB, Canada. My work bridges game design, hypermedia, social psychology, cultural theory, and queer, feminist and neurodiverse knowledges to produce “breathtaking” and “amazingly fun” projects in the in-between.

A collage of reader and player reviews:
• ”amazingly fun to play and immediately want to play again”
• “beautifully thoughtful”
• “fun to read”
• “incredibly innovative”
• “evocative”
• “breathtaking”
• “+1 to who ever writes the dialogue in this game”
• “clever”
• “tantalizing”
• “I look forward to more”
• “DUDE this story?! I wasn’t [sic] NOT expecting to be hit with this level of layers. THANK YOU for having a layered story.”
• “thoughtful and thought-provoking”
• “I greatly enjoy the quest dialog”
• “I need to know who made [the quest] One Man’s Trash so I can personally thank them for Gerard, Underbutler.”
